US Tour 2020 review

We received a wonderful review from the SAHS in Michigan from our concert at the magnificent Recital Hall at Calvin University. Here is a link to some videos: https://sahswm.org/jaerv/

The review is below:

The Jaerv concert on Saturday, March 7th was a great success! The Recital Hall at the Covenant Fine Arts Center at Calvin University was the perfect setting for accentuating the great music that Jaerv provided for the very enthusiastic audience! From the very beginning, the five guys from Göteborg endeared themselves to the listeners with their immense talent and comfortable banter with each other and the audience, including the explanations of the centuries-old songs from Sweden that always ended with a very sad story even though the music was so beautiful! Their vocal harmonies were gorgeous and the musical arrangements were phenomenal, blending beautifully between the music and vocals from full sound to soft single instrumentations. With their shared background in classical music studies and each member’s own talents with their individual instruments and songwriting capabilities, the end result was nothing short of amazing, easily transitioning between medieval Swedish folk tunes to folk tunes with modern jazz and pop influences. Needless to say, the audience didn’t want the concert to end, and I’m sure everyone there will not miss another opportunity to see them! And, if you weren’t able to attend, you won’t want to miss them either! Check out a short video of the performance on our website: https://sahswm.org/jaerv/ A big thank you to Jill Pearson Reider who hosted Joel Hagen and Tobias Hedlund and Elise Roe who hosted Anders Bergsten, Markus Gustavsson, and Harald Nilsson as well as providing a delicious brunch on Sunday morning before they all left for their last concert in Chicago and then home to Sweden.
